Upcoming exhibition: “Martin Munkacsi. THINK WHILE YOU SHOOT” | BRESCIA GALLERY | NOVEMBER 30 2024 h.18.30

In collaboration with New York’s Howard Greenberg Gallery and L’Estate Martin Munkacsi, Paci contemporary gallery will host an exhibition dedicated to the great master of 20th-century photography, Martin Munkacsi.

Upcoming exhibition: “TWENTY” 20.04.2024 – POSTPONED 31.10.2024 | BRESCIA GALLERY

On Saturday, April 20 from 6:30 p.m., Paci contemporary gallery will open the exhibition TWENTY. The exhibition will offer a collective of 20th century photographers from its collection on the occasion of the gallery’s 20th anniversary. A collective that will allow visitors to immerse themselves in the whole path made by the gallery in these 20 years through its most representative works.

 

 

 

Sandy Skoglund . Imaginary worlds of photography 1974 – 2023 – from 23.11.2023 to 02.06.2024 | DUKE’S PALACE SENIGALLIA

From Nov. 23, 2023 to June 2, 2024, the rooms of the Duke’s Palace will host the anthological exhibition Sandy Skoglund. Imaginary Worlds of Photography. 1974 – 2023, organized by the City of Senigallia with the support of Regione Marche, the collaboration of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio and Paci Contemporary Gallery.

Senigallia City of Photography continues its commitment to the promotion and enhancement of great international photographers by dedicating a new exhibition to Sandy Skoglund, a U.S. artist famous for her colorful and evocative works, where fantasy dialogues with reality in a play of surreal and alienating contrasts.

Mario Cravo Neto “Destino” until 29.02.2024

Paci contemporary gallery is pleased to announce “DESTINO”, the largest anthological exhibition on the Brazilian master Mario Cravo Neto ever held before in Europe, at its Brescia location in via Borgo Pietro Wuhrer, 53. A retrospective that traces all the stages of Mario Cravo Neto’s career, starting with the works created in New York in the 1970s ’80s and ’90s. Mario Cravo Neto stages his portraits to materialize the depth of meanings and in doing so entrusts a fundamental value to the light that gives three-dimensionality and a sculptural appearance to the subjects. The exhibition accompanied by a volume published by Dario Cimorelli Editore, edited by Denis Curti.

Giampaolo Paci at CAMERA Museum in TORINO ITALIAN CENTER FOR PHOTOGRAPHY – Nov. 16, 2023

Germano Celant was a critic and curator of many interests, among which photography played a significant role. The day of studies organized by CAMERA and Studio Celant, in collaboration with EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival, intends to explore precisely this aspect of Celant’s activity, through the interventions of scholars and artists who at different times had professional and personal relationships with the critic. In this regard, Giampaolo Paci will speak with a text by Sandy Skoglund dedicated to Germano Celant.

An exhibition dedicated to multimedia artist Nicola Evangelisti, Reflected Nature, is on view at the Brescia gallery.The exhibition, a large anthology tracing the artist’s research on light, is accompanied by a new volume produced and edited by the gallery.

“Miguel Rio Branco. Masculine Feminin” – 21st October 2022 – 28th February 2023

Paci contemporary gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the first great Italian exhibition dedicated to the new entry of the gallery: the Brazilian photographer Miguel Rio Branco. “Masculin Feminin”, a great exhibition that will retrace the steps of his artistic career with a particular focus on masculine and feminine bodies, is accompanied by  the new catalogue, published by Silvana Editoriale, written by Rio Branco, with a text by Germano Celant and Walter Guadagnini, the Director of CAMERA in Turin.
